For the spherical rod end bearing, the axial fastening is to make the bearing always in the position determined by the position, specifically relates to the bearing inner ring on the shaft of the fixed and outer ring in the outer shell fixed. Although the inner and outer ring of the bearing require accurate positioning, but not necessarily do the axial restrain at the same time to be fixed, which can be determined according to the requirements of the support.
Because in the supporting structure fixed at both ends of the spherical rod end bearing, each bearing only bears unidirectional axial load, it is necessary to fix it in one direction. In the supporting structure fixed at one end of the fixed end, the fixed end bears the bidirectional axial load, so the bidirectional axial restraint is required.

Generally, if the axial load of the spherical rod end bearing is large and the rotating speed is high, the inner ring adopts locking screw and lock washer, and the outer ring is fastened with the end cover and threaded ring. On the contrary, the inner ring is required to use the elastic collar, tapered adapter-sleeve and withdrawal sleeve, and. the outer ring uses the elastic collar and snap ring.
